We use the latest generation of devices from the world's leading manufacturers of implantable devices, such as Biotronik (Germany), Boston Scientific, Medtronic, St. Jude (USA), Vitatron (Holland).
MRI-compatible systems
Currently, devices have appeared that allow patients to safely perform MRI scans (previously it was strictly prohibited). If the patient is planning to perform this study or has a concomitant pathology that may most likely require an MRI scan (diseases of the spine, spinal cord and brain, joints, etc.), implantation of MRI-compatible systems should be considered.
Implantable devices with remote monitoring function
The new devices also provide the ability to remotely monitor their operation. Currently, Biotronik devices (Home Monitoring system) support this function in our country.
The patient has a miniature transmitter (with a GSM module) the size of a radiotelephone, which transmits automatically or after activation by the patient all information about the state of the system and changes in the patient's body in an encoded signal to a mobile phone (in case of an emergency alert) or to the doctor's e-mail.
Depending on the situation, the doctor may invite the patient to adjust the stimulation parameters or give advice on changing drug therapy. Feedback is not provided to exclude the possibility of outside interference in the operation of the device. These systems are especially useful for frequently traveling patients or those who live far from large centers, when visiting a doctor may be fraught with certain difficulties.
