Treatment methods

The Urolithiasis Treatment Center provides comprehensive emergency and planned treatment:

Diagnostics

Ultrasound of the kidneys, upper and lower urinary tract;
multispiral computed tomography (MSCT) or overview and excretory urography;
blood and urine tests;
analysis of the mineral composition of the removed or self-detached stone;
uroflowmetry — determines the degree of difficulty urinating. During this study, a special device determines the time and speed of urine flow during urination, which makes it possible to assess violations.

Treatment methods

Drug treatment is usually used in the early stages of the disease, i.e. with minor disorders.
Non-surgical treatment:

Medicinal litholysis is the non—surgical dissolution of certain types of stones. This technique should be carried out strictly under the supervision of a urologist, since improper treatment can not only fail to dissolve the stones, but also provoke their further growth.

Surgical treatment:

Contact lithotripsy (CT)— endoscopic destruction and removal of stones that have moved from the kidney to the ureter, as well as kidney and bladder stones through the urethra or urethra without incisions and punctures. The operation is performed using ultra-thin, safe, flexible endoscopes (ureteroscopes) and laser systems for effective contact crushing of stones. Bladder stones are destroyed through a special urethrocystoscope using ultrasound, mechanical and laser energy.

Percutaneous or percutaneous nephrolithotomy/lithotripsy/litolapaxy — removal of large and hard-to—reach kidney stones, up to giant stones over 5 centimeters in diameter, through mini-accesses - several small punctures in the lumbar region.

Laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgeries for urolithiasis, kidney cysts, nephroptosis (kidney prolapse). This is a minimally traumatic surgery — access to the problem area is carried out through 3 small (5-10 mm) incisions in the lower abdomen. The rehabilitation time for such operations is much shorter compared to oral interventions.

Transurethral resection is a method of removing prostate adenoma, performed by minimally invasive methods, as well as using laser surgery techniques.
