In 2003, after completing his doctoral studies, he received the degree of Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), and in 2004 he passed the Swiss Federal Examination specializing in Neurosurgery. In 2006, he defended his Diploma in Neurosurgery. In 2009, he received a European Diploma in Neurosurgery from the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS).

1999 - 2000 – Assistant Physician at the Neurosurgery Clinic of the Aarau Canton Hospital, Switzerland;
