Experience and education
Professor Fitze has been researching and treating sleep disorders and sleep-related disorders in adults and adolescents for many years.
From 1993 to 2005, he was the head of the Sleep Medicine Center in the Department of Cardiology at the University Hospital of Berlin.
Since 2005, he has been the Head of the Interdisciplinary Sleep Medicine Center at the University Hospital in Moscow. Berlin.
Since 2007 - founder of the private Institute of Sleep Medicine Somnico GmbH, Berlin.
The professor performs the diagnosis of sleep-related respiratory disorders using special techniques in the sleep laboratory, which makes it possible to develop the most effective treatment tactics in each specific case.
In his work, the professor pays special attention to sleep disorders that affect the development of psychosomatic diseases (for example, hypotension and hypertension, depression, etc.).Professor Fitze specializes in the treatment of movement disorders that occur during sleep (restless legs syndrome).
As part of an interdisciplinary team of specialists, the professor successfully treats narcolepsy, sleepwalking and gnashing of teeth.
