Kamchatnov Pavel

Pavel Rudolfovich Kamchatnov successfully defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences in 1986 on the topic "Neurological complications of myocardial infarction in young patients." Since 1986, he has been a junior researcher at the 2nd MOLGMI named after N.I. Pirogov on cerebral circulatory disorders. Since 1990, he has been an assistant at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of the Medical Faculty of the Pirogov Russian State Medical University. Since 1999, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, N.I.Pirogov Russian State Medical University. In 2001, he received the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences with the thesis topic "Vertebral basilar insufficiency". Since 2008, he has been a professor at the Department of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Medical Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. Member of the Dissertation Scientific Council at the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University. Executive Secretary of the S.S. Korsakov Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry, member of the editorial boards of 10 medical scientific journals. Scientific supervisor of 5 dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

Experience in neurology since 1983. Since 2000, he has been providing regular expert consultations on neurology in hospitals of the Moscow City Department of Health and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

• stroke and vascular neurology;

• dementia and neurodegenerative diseases;

• pain syndromes;

• diseases involving the autonomic (autonomic) nervous system;

• lesions of the nervous system in somatic diseases.
