In 1972, he graduated from the First Moscow State Medical University named after
Sechenov.
From 1972 to 1973, he completed his residency in Urology (Clinical Hospital No. 50).
From 1974-1979 he completed his residency in radiological diagnostics (Shaare Tzedek Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel).
In 1985, he completed an internship and was a freelance researcher at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Sutton Cancer Institute (England).
He currently holds the position of Professor of Radiology at Hadassah Hospital. He headed the Radiological diagnostics department of this clinic until December 2011.
