Since 2007, he has been working at the European Association of Urologists in the group on writing European standards for the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer. An active participant in major international clinical trials. For his contribution to scientific research, he was awarded an honorary diploma from the European Organization for Cancer Research and Treatment (EORTC).
Experience and education
He is a graduate of the Medical faculty of the 1st I. M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Institute. After graduation, he worked as a doctor at the polyclinic of the Research Institute of Urology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. From 1991 to 1994, he studied at the Postgraduate Institute of Urology of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. In 1994 he defended his PhD thesis on the topic: "Benign kidney tumors. Clinic, diagnosis and treatment".
After completing his postgraduate studies, he was hired as a surgeon at the N.N. Blokhin Russian Research Center of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. From 1995 to 1997 he worked as a urologist at the Royal Free Hospital, London. After completing his work in England, he received a trainee certificate from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. In 2002, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic: "Surgical treatment of complicated venous invasion and metastatic kidney cancer". In 1997, he joined the Department of Urology at the N.N. Blokhin Russian National Research Center as a researcher, and since 1999, he has been a leading researcher.
