Zakharov, she defended her PhD thesis on "Surgical treatment of fresh retinal detachments by pneumoretinopexy" at the Department of Vitreo-Retinal Surgery of the MNTC Eye Microsurgery.From 1996 to 2007, she worked as an ophthalmic surgeon in the Department of Vitreo-retinal surgery. She has experience in teaching, conducted advanced training courses in vitreo-retinal surgery at the Scientific and pedagogical department of the ISTK Eye Microsurgery.
