Dr. Andrey Kardanov has been involved in joint replacement surgery since 1995, interns annually in France, and regularly improves his skills at leading clinics in Germany and Switzerland.
He has more than 50 publications on orthopedic surgery, several inventions and utility models, monographs and practical manuals on foot surgery.
Over the years, the doctor has performed more than 5,000 joint replacement surgeries and more than 10,000 foot surgeries.
Education:
He defended his PhD thesis in 2001, and his doctoral thesis in 2009.
Experience and education
Since 2001, he has been the first in Russia to apply modern high-tech methods for correcting foot deformities, which he has trained dozens of surgeons in Russia, and introduced the method of percutaneous minimally invasive surgery (MIS), which is gaining increasing popularity.
Graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
He completed his residency and postgraduate studies at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Rudn University (scientific supervisor – Professor, Doctor of Medicine N.V. Zagorodny), advanced training at the University of Paris V (France, Prof. B.Tomeno).
From 1993 to 2001, he worked as a resident physician, and then as an orthopedic traumatologist at GKB No. 71 (Moscow).
From 2001 to 2009, he held the position of Head of the Orthopaedics Department of the State Clinical Hospital No. 31 (Moscow).
In 2009, he joined the European Medical Center in connection with the opening of the European Clinic of Sports Traumatology and Orthopedics, while simultaneously teaching as a professor at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at the RUDN University Medical Institute.

He has more than 15 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is the author of two practical manuals and a monograph on foot surgery.
He regularly attends international congresses (SOFCOT, AAOS, SICOT, ASTAOR) and specialized courses on knee and hip prosthetics, foot and ankle surgery in Switzerland, Germany and France.
