A free vaccine against COVID-19, Gam—COVID-Vac (Sputnik V), is available in the EMC. Vaccination is carried out in 2 stages. Only examinations by a general practitioner before the introduction of the first and second components of the vaccine are paid for. At the consultation, the doctor will make sure that there are no contraindications (including active COVID-19 infection), as well as indications for vaccination. Those who have had C0VID-19 have not been vaccinated in the last six months.
The cost of two consultations is 116 CU (58 CU for the examination before the first stage and 58 CU for the examination before the second).
*1 reference unit = 1 euro. Payment in rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank on the day of payment.
Vaccination includes:
Preparation for vaccination: it is necessary to fill out a questionnaire, which will be sent by the clinic staff, and provide the results of COVID-19 examinations. The test results are valid for 48 hours from the date of receipt.
The first stage of vaccination:
- Examination by a doctor before vaccination
- Introduction of the first component of the vaccine
The second stage of vaccination (21 days after the first one):
- Examination by a doctor before vaccination
- Introduction of the second component of the vaccine
The service is provided to patients over the age of 18 who have permanent or temporary registration in Moscow. To carry out vaccination, you must provide a copy of the SNILS or the compulsory medical insurance policy.
Examinations required for vaccination
Before the first and second stages of vaccination, it is necessary to pass:

Q&A
What is a vaccine?
The coronavirus vaccine is a vector–based two-component vaccine. "Vectors" are carriers that deliver genetic material from another virus into a cell. In this case, the genetic material of the adenovirus that causes the infection is removed and the material with the protein code from another virus, in this case from the coronavirus spike, is inserted. The new element is safe for the body, it helps the immune system to produce antibodies that protect against infection.
The uniqueness of the vaccine lies in the use of two different components based on human adenovirus in two injections. This approach allows for a stronger and longer-term immune response compared to vaccines using the same component for two injections.
What is the effectiveness of the vaccine?
The proven effectiveness of Sputnik V is 91.4%. The effectiveness was calculated based on data from 22,714 volunteers. The effectiveness of the vaccine against severe cases of coronavirus infection is 100%.
How is its safety proven?
Before starting clinical trials, the vaccine has passed all stages of preclinical studies. During clinical trials in Russia, more than 26,000 volunteers were vaccinated. Everyone survived the vaccination well, there were no unforeseen and serious complications, and the vaccine induced the formation of a high antibody and cellular immune response. None of the participants became infected with coronavirus after vaccination.
Does the vaccine have an effect on fertility?
No, even full-fledged human adenoviruses (capable of multiplying in the body) do not affect fertility.
Will vaccine immunity be short-term or long-term?
The two-fold administration scheme allows for the formation of long-term immunity.
Does the vaccine contain a live virus?
The vaccine does not contain components of the COVID-19 virus.
Will the vaccine be seasonal, like the flu shot?
Currently, seasonality for COVID-19 has not been proven.
Can I get a visa with a Sputnik V vaccination passport?
The EU decides to issue a visa if the vaccination was carried out with one of the European-certified vaccines. Moderna, BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Johnson&Johnson, Sanofi-GSK, CureVac, and Pfizer are currently among them.
