Implantation of the Confirm Rx heart monitor
The Confirm Rx implantable heart monitor, capable of syncing with a smartphone, is a new development for detecting heart disorders. This small device is implanted under the skin in the sternum area between the 5th and 6th rib as part of an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia, does not require suturing and does not cause the patient any discomfort.
Indications
Confirm Rx™ ICM is indicated for heart rate monitoring and as a diagnostic method for unexplained symptoms such as:
- dizziness
- palpitations
- chest pain
- fainting
- shortness of breath
- and also in patients at risk of cardiac arrhythmia and atrial fibrillation.
The Confirm Rx heart monitor allows you to detect pathological rhythm disorders such as tachyarrhythmias (rapid heartbeat) or bradyarrhythmias (slow contractions and pauses). The device has full MRI compatibility. With the help of a heart monitor, you can continuously monitor your heart rate for two years.
Advantages of Confirm Rx in comparison with analogues:
- can continuously monitor the heartbeat
- can synchronize with your smartphone and send information about rhythm disturbances in real time to the doctor through the application
- signal transmission is possible from anywhere with a cellular connection: you can live a normal life, travel freely, but at the same time be under constant supervision
Patients can also enter information about their well—being into the application, and cardiologists can receive information about the patient's heart condition and make specific therapeutic decisions in real time.
All events are transmitted in encrypted form in order to ensure the protection of personal information. Moreover, the application can send a warning signal to the user in case such a transfer to the doctor did not take place.
