Rejuvenation by own fibroblasts

SPRS-терапия (service for personal regeneration of skin)It is a unique technology of non–surgical cellular rejuvenation of the skin with its own fibroblasts, which was approved by Roszdravnadzor in 2010.The method of cellular intradermal rejuvenation not only corrects visual defects of the skin, but also restores it at the microtextural level.

The essence of the method

Fibroblasts are skin cells that synthesize collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and other important components responsible for the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Over time, the number of fibroblasts in the dermis decreases, and their ability to synthesize collagen and elastin fibers, as well as hyaluronic acid, decreases. As a result, the skin becomes thinner, loses elasticity, the moisture level decreases, and wrinkles form. Numerous studies, including those by the Russian Institute of Human Stem Cells, confirm that the cause of these age-related changes is a decrease in the number and functional activity of fibroblasts. 

SPRS therapy is an individual complex of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for restoring the skin using its own fibroblasts. After the drug is injected into the dermis, the synthesis of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid increases, and natural skin renewal processes are triggered. As a result, the elasticity and moisture content of the skin increases, wrinkles are smoothed out, and the aging process slows down.

Skin diagnostics

At the preliminary stage, the ability of fibroblasts to divide and their functional activity (the ability to synthesize collagen and other components of the intercellular matrix) is evaluated. Based on the data obtained, an individual program is being developed to correct existing age-related changes and prevent aging.

According to the results of the diagnosis, the patient receives a "Skin Passport", where all individual characteristics are recorded, as well as detailed information on the rejuvenation program, as well as recommendations on the use of cosmetic procedures, taking into account the degree of their effect on the skin in order to achieve a lasting aesthetic result without damage to fibroblasts.

Creating a drug

To obtain fibroblasts, a fragment of skin (about 5mm in diameter) from the behind-the-ear region is used. Only cells that have retained a high ability to divide and synthesize components are selected for the drug. A sample of each patient's cell material undergoes mandatory safety testing to exclude viral and bacterial agents.

Procedure

An hour before the start of the procedure, an anesthetic cream is applied to the skin. The preparation containing fibroblasts is injected into the skin using thin needles. Having penetrated into the dermis, active fibroblasts begin to synthesize collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid and other important elements of the intercellular matrix, thereby restoring the physiological balance and natural processes of dermal renewal in the skin. The pronounced effect is noted after the first procedure and increases within a few months after the end of the course of treatment. As a rule, one course consists of 2 procedures with an interval of 4-6 weeks. However, this protocol may change, since SPRS therapy is an individual approach to restoring the skin of each patient.

SPRS therapy eliminates the possibility of allergic reactions and other side effects, since the patient's own skin cells are used.

SPRS therapy is perfectly combined with all currently existing methods in cosmetology and plastic surgery.

Repeat courses

Before the start of the first course, some of the cells obtained are transferred to a cryobank, where they are stored in liquid nitrogen. At the same time, the patient receives a personalized certificate of storage of fibroblast culture to the cryobank. Preserved fibroblasts can be used to produce a SPRS drug throughout the patient's life. By maintaining the necessary number of functionally active fibroblasts in the dermis, youth can be preserved for many years to come.
