Vaccination against chickenpox
The imported Varilrix
vaccine (Belgium) is available in the EMC. The vaccine is well tolerated and protects the child from severe forms of the virus and its complications.
It is given to children over 1 year old.

Vaccination takes place in two stages:
1. Consultation with a pediatrician, in the absence of contraindications, the introduction of a vaccine.
2. Revaccination: admission of a pediatrician and, if the child is healthy, administration of the drug.
