To confirm a diagnosis, it is often necessary to obtain cellular or tissue material of a pathological formation – biopsies, including trepanbiopsies – bone marrow biopsies performed by specialists of the Oncology and Hematology Clinic. Among the most difficult is a fine–needle biopsy under CT control, a minimally invasive procedure that allows obtaining histological material and avoiding diagnostic surgery, which is performed if lung cancer or other formations of unknown origin are suspected and difficult to access, in particular, pancreatic, liver and spleen formations, lymph nodes and mediastinum.

The materials obtained as a result of the biopsy are sent to the histological laboratory of the European Medical Center. Modern histological and cytological analysis of the cellular composition and structure of the pathological material allows the attending physician to determine the optimal diagnostic and therapeutic tactics, individual for each patient.
EMC specialists cooperate with leading laboratories in Europe and the USA. State-of-the-art equipment allows you to transfer standardized images to any laboratory in the world. We are constantly cooperating with laboratories in France, Israel, and the United States, which are consulted in all diagnostically difficult cases.
