Cancer of the intestines and rectum is always psychologically difficult and scary. Patients are afraid of an unfavorable outcome of the disease, surgery and possible disability.

In order to reduce the likelihood of diagnostic errors, all cancer patients are discussed at multidisciplinary consultations with oncologists, surgeons, histologists (pathologists), radiation diagnostics specialists, doctors of the EMC radionuclide diagnostics and radiation therapy centers. This rare practice in Russian oncology increases the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment.
