Priority areas of activity
Operations performed in the clinic
  • Surgery of any complexity, including the removal of calculi (stones) from the ducts of the salivary glands without incisions.
  • Round-the-clock emergency care for patients with injuries and purulent-inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region (including osteomyelitis, phlegmon. abscesses and osteonecrosis).
  • Patients with diseases of the temporomandibular joint are treated by maxillofacial surgeons together with doctors of related specialties: dentists, neurologists, and osteopaths.
The Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of the European Medical Center is engaged in reconstructive and reconstructive treatment of congenital and acquired pathologies of bones and soft tissues in the head and neck. Our clinic accepts patients with chronic and acute conditions, we work with adults and children.
The EMC's technical equipment makes it possible to quickly diagnose and prepare a treatment plan, and the use of advanced techniques by EMC maxillofacial surgeons reduces the time of postoperative hospital stay to 1-2 days.

Priority areas of activity

Specialists of the EMC Department of Maxillofacial Surgery perform operations of any complexity for:
  • wounds in the face and neck area. We use reconstructive techniques to restore soft-tissue structures in the maxillofacial region with maximum preservation of facial aesthetics and preserve tissue functionality. The surgery clinic works with post-traumatic defects, cicatricial deformities, and performs operations to eliminate the consequences after cancer;
  • fractures of the bones of the facial skeleton. Surgical treatment of jaw fractures is carried out within a few hours after contacting our hospital;
  • diseases of the salivary glands. We use minimally invasive access methods, which allows us to reduce the volume of intervention, reduce pain in the postoperative period and shorten recovery time; diseases of the temporomandibular joint. The clinic treats neoplasms and joint dysfunctions, dislocations, arthrosis, acute and chronic arthritis, ankylosis;
  • malocclusion pathologies. The doctors of the department are engaged in the correction of malocclusion associated with defects in the maxillofacial bones and the incorrect location of teeth;
  • congenital and acquired facial deformities. In maxillofacial surgery, operations are performed for congenital craniofacial clefts, acquired defects in bone structures;
  • inflammatory diseases (including osteomyelitis and osteonecrosis);
  • benign and malignant neoplasms;
  • treatment of precancerous diseases of the oral cavity, surgical treatment of basal cell carcinoma of the skin (basal cell carcinoma) using intraoperative control using the Moh's method is performed.

Operations performed in the clinic

The department performs operations of any complexity in the field of maxillofacial surgery:
  • removal of cysts and neoplasms of the head and neck;

  • maxillary sinusotomy;

  • osteosynthesis of the facial skull;

  • surgical correction of the size, shape, position and ratio of the upper and lower jaws;

  • surgery of facial nerve injuries;

  • open or arthroscopic interventions on the temporomandibular joint;

  • reconstructive and microsurgical operations for injuries and diseases of the jaw system;

  • surgical treatment of inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region;

  • removal of precancerous conditions, surgical treatment of basal cell carcinoma of the skin (basal cell carcinoma) using intraoperative control using the Moh's method.

When performing operations, we prefer gentle minimally invasive surgery. Such interventions are easier to tolerate by patients, the likelihood of complications is lower after them, and the rehabilitation time is shortened.
The use of modern materials in maxillofacial surgery makes it possible to avoid splinting. Osteosynthesis is performed from intraoral approaches using endoscopic techniques.
Malocclusion is not always caused solely by the position of the teeth, and disorders are often associated with abnormal growth and development of the facial skull, and may be the result of trauma. The main requirement of the patient is to restore the aesthetic proportions of the face. In these situations, the operation to normalize the bite (orthognathic surgery) is performed after the orthodontist prepares the dentition (orthodontic training) and computer simulation of the surgical intervention, which guarantees the desired result.
The Department of Maxillofacial Surgery operates within the framework of the multifunctional hospital of the European Medical Center, which allows surgeons not only to have prompt access to any diagnostic capabilities, but also to maintain constant contact with specialists of other specialties (dentists, otorhinolaryngologists, neurologists, ophthalmologists, pediatricians) for the treatment of the most complex combined pathologies.
