The main task of the department is to provide specialized intensive care to patients with any pathology and category of complexity, to carry out measures to restore and maintain the functions of vital organs and systems.

• Acute cardiovascular pathology
• Decompensated pulmonary pathology
• Acute disorders of cerebral circulation
• Acute renal and hepatic insufficiency
• Treatment of patients with various types of shock (toxic, infectious, anaphylactic, cardiogenic)
• Intensive postoperative management of patients after surgical, neurosurgical, oncological, gynecological, urological, and traumatological interventions
• Follow-up in the ICU after conducting anesthetic services.

The main treatment methods used in the ICU:

• Maintaining adequate hemodynamics
• Restoring and maintaining a normal balance of fluids, electrolytes, and acid-base balance
• Ensuring adequate ventilation
• Intensive care for acute cerebral insufficiency

The department's doctors are highly qualified specialists who have specialized in intensive care and intensive care to help critically ill patients with extensive experience in intensive care units of the largest emergency and surgical centers in Moscow.

The work in the department is carried out in close cooperation with the medical and diagnostic departments of EMC. Patients are undergoing round-the-clock examinations necessary for diagnosis and qualified care.

Morning rounds are conducted daily with the participation of the chief physician, the Deputy chief physician for the medical unit, the head of the department, the deputy chief physician for the hospital, and the attending physicians.

The qualification of the department's staff makes it possible to ensure the preparation of patients with severe metabolic and electrolyte disorders for surgical intervention, as well as adequate postoperative treatment of patients using modern technologies.

The intensive care unit is equipped with the most modern and high-tech equipment for monitoring and prosthetics of vital body functions.

Anesthesiologists and intensive care specialists are on duty at the department around the clock.
