A patient with stage IV cervical cancer was successfully cured at the EMC Institute of Oncology after she was refused treatment at other medical institutions.
A 58-year-old patient was diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer.
The patient was denied treatment in other medical institutions. After discussing the patient at the EMC consultation, chemoradiotherapy using the RapidArc/IGRT method was recommended. After successful completion of the course of treatment, a control PET/CT scan revealed the complete disappearance of the tumor.
PET/CT scan (from 05/27/15) examination before treatment:
At the time of the PET/CT examination, the data indicate the presence of a specific metabolically active tissue in the cervical region with a spread to the pelvic and retroperitoneal cavity on the right (Cr of the cervix with secondary lesion of the uterus).
PET/CT scan (09.11.2015) post-treatment study:
There were no foci of pathological metabolic activity of RFP, characteristic of the neoplastic process. When compared with the PET/CT study from 05/27/2015, a complete metabolic response is noted.
Thus, the radiation technology RapidArc helps to remove the tumor without surgery.
