Osteoporosis Diagnosis and Treatment Center

Tasks of the center
Events of the center
Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones lose their strength, become more brittle and can easily break or deform. Bone loss occurs unnoticeably and is often diagnosed only after a fracture has occurred (usually of the spine or femoral neck). Therefore, osteoporosis is often called a "dumb" disease – a person does not suspect anything until the first fracture. In most cases, fractures can recur and cause disability. Osteoporosis can also be manifested by stooping, decreased growth, and an aggravation of other diseases of the spine, such as osteochondrosis, etc.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), osteoporosis ranks fourth among non-communicable diseases in terms of frequency after diseases of the cardiovascular system, oncology and diabetes mellitus.
Risk factors include female sex, menopause, previous fractures, chronic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, hypogonadism in men, chronic vitamin D deficiency, physical inactivity, a tendency to falls, smoking, alcohol abuse, endocrine and rheumatological diseases and much more.
Is it possible to prevent this disease? In most cases, you can. Early diagnosis, physical activity, balanced nutrition, and vitamin D intake play a crucial role.
Osteoporosis is diagnosed and treated by doctors of various specialties – endocrinologists, rheumatologists, general practitioners, orthopedic traumatologists, gynecologists and other specialists.
Our doctors use a full range of modern methods for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. By contacting the EMC Osteoporosis Center, you can be sure that you will receive comprehensive medical care from highly qualified specialists as soon as possible.
Achieving active longevity is the basis of the EMC strategy. We make sure that patients not only live a long time, but remain active, and their quality of life remains high. Osteoporosis is a disease that, having unexpectedly arisen, can interfere with the achievement of these goals and lead a person to disability. But if you determine the tendency to develop osteoporosis in time, you can use simple methods to prevent its manifestation.

The EMC team is great
The front- reception team is very kind, helpful and professional. The doctors are skillful, friendly and outstanding at their work, Dr. Tabeeva Kamila, Dr. Elizaveta and Dr. Osaki, to mention a few stand out for their patience and detailed discussions. The assistant nurses go out
of their way to make patients comfortable and communicate timely on appointments and test results. One even helped me in calling a taxi. Nurse Senya was excellent in follow-up and updating.
