Egg donation
The EMC Clinic for Reproductive and Prenatal Medicine invites young women aged 20 to 33 years old living in Moscow, the Moscow Region and surrounding areas to donate oocytes (eggs).
Egg donation is the only way to achieve pregnancy for women whose infertility is caused by the depletion or absence of ovaries. The essence of the method is to fertilize the donor egg of a recipient woman with a partner's sperm. After that, the embryo is transferred into the uterine cavity of an infertile woman.
The oocyte donor must meet the following requirements:
- age from 20 to 33 years inclusive;
- lack of lactation;
- absence of bad habits;
- absence of severe diseases of the liver, heart, kidneys, diabetes mellitus;
- no history of syphilis, hepatitis B and C, HIV infection, chlamydia, gonorrhea;
- height is not more than 185 cm;
- weight not less than 45 kg and not more than 85 kg.
Time constraints
During the preparation for oocyte collection, the egg donor is under the supervision of specialists. During the time period when the oocytes mature, a woman is prohibited from drinking alcohol and smoking, she should follow a diet, take vitamins (it should be remembered that any medications are prohibited to the donor of oocytes, except those prescribed by the attending physician).
Diagnosis of the donor
Egg donation requires careful preparation: a woman undergoes a comprehensive medical examination, during which she receives consultations from many specialists — a therapist, gynecologist, geneticist, psychiatrist. In addition, the egg donor must pass all the necessary tests. The woman undergoes this examination at the clinic for free. In terms of time, it takes about one month. The clinic does not provide housing for the duration of the examination, superovulation stimulation and follicle puncture.
How is the procedure
Fresh and frozen donor oocytes are used for IVF. Before the puncture (egg collection), the oocyte donor must undergo ovulation stimulation. When the follicles become mature enough, HCG injection is administered — with its help, not one egg is formed, but several. After 35 hours, an ovarian puncture is performed. When the oocytes reach the required stage of maturation, they are extracted through the lateral arches of the vagina using a thin needle. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. After 2-3 hours, the egg donor can leave the clinic.
Payment for each puncture (egg collection) is 70,000 rubles.
